You know you’re a mother (#976) when…
you have a free hour and you spend the time alone, quiet and unencumbered, in a second hand bookstore (something you’ve been dreaming about for years) and come out with: Ramona the Brave, the Chocolate Curse, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats and Pirate Island Adventure.
And then you do it again the next day.
Although I did resist buying anything proposing to make me a better parent, so yay me.
