Early mornings

For a little while, I was trying to get up at 6 am (that is, marginally ahead of the children) to write. This posed a variety of problems. One is that I am now permanently exhausted and waking up one minute before I absolutely have to is torturous. Another is that my children have ears like bats. Either that or some evil psychic link to my brain. As soon as I wake up on those rare occasions when I wake up before them, within minutes one or both of them will be stirring, calling, fretting, announcing they need to pee, demanding milk of various sorts and trying on hats. It means that when the 6 am alarm goes off, I lie there trembling, anticipating the onslaught instead of leaping joyfully at the computer. So not much writing got done.

Which is one of the reasons I’m so hoopy in love with blogging. I wander to the computer and lo and behold, I’m writing something. I’m also crusing knitting stores scheming about lace but I’m still writing.
