Ooooh, it’s all squishy.

We have (hooray) new carpet upstairs. It’s very nice and soft and looks miles better than the disgusting, trodden down, cigarette burned, pee stained, dust mite infested blue crap that had been our flooring for the last three years.

It will take somegetting used to, however. Daniel resists any change and spent some time trying to Abracadabra the old horrible stuff back. I too, I realize, take time to adjust to anything new — one reason, perhaps, that I am not an international woman of mystery.

In addition to the new carpet, we have lots of new carpet smell. I am trying very hard not to remember that the technical term for this smell is offgassing since that makes it sound like we will all be asphixiated in our sleep. I am opting to pretend that if we don’t know that this is anything except a rather interesting odor, it can’t harm us. So I am definitely not looking it up online because I don’t want to know what the chemicals we are inhaling are doing to our brains.

Still, it’s very nice to have all this lovely new carpet. I’m hoping it will inspire Ed to do lots more vaccuuming.

    Excellent Walker permalink

Vacuuming? Oh yeah, that’s likely. But what color is it? You neglected to say.
