Wonderland

So the snow started on Saturday afternoon. The children, snow deprived, ran outside to catch the first snowflakes. (If you look carefully at Helena’s photo, you can see Daniel’s reflection in the mirror.) But this is what the yard looked like as the snow started to fall.
This is what it looked like today.

We spent most of the morning outside. Perhaps due to an overdose of Men’s Cross Country Skiing, Daniel and Helena said that they wanted to go skiing, Mommy, not sledding. So instead we played in the yard and went for a walk and messed around in the piles of snow on street corners and had a lovely time.
Daniel made it snow, again and again and again.
Helena basked in the sunlight and made armchairs in the drifts.
And Daniel was king of the castle.

If I had worn thicker socks, we could still be out there.

God Lord – Real Snow. Not the sprinkling of cake sugar that grinds the UK to a halt…
