Husband and Wife
There are moments that only a photograph can capture, when only a picture really tells the story. Unfortunately, I took some of the worst wedding photos you ever saw. Clearly, attempting to bridesmaid, mother, arrange flowers, drink champagne, wear lipstick, have fun AND take decent pictures was just one thing too many.
The wedding was lovely. As was Christina. 
For me, three times down the aisle now, once as bride and twice as bridesmaid, it is the walk down the aisle which is the most powerful moment, the announcement of intention, the welcoming of all those guests, their faces and yours meeting. The solemnity. The joy. The anticipation of something about to change, all for the better.
Christina managed to have John and herself piped out of church. It made John very happy. And I love bagpipes too. The incredible heat of the day was not enough to make us wilt.
They are happy. (They should be. They missed the week’s heat sitting on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean.) But really. They are happy. It was a long, complicated road to here, but somewhere worth arriving.

I hear ya about it being hard to do all those things at the wedding all at once. My camera resigned to the bag quite early in the morning. They do look happy though in those pics! And her dress is beautiful.

At least you got some pictures! My digital camera battery died in the church; and of course, all the photos I took there are dark and out of focus, despite the flash. Here’s hoping I get around to bringing my film to be developed soon and that there are a couple of decent shots there…
