Camera thoughts
So my lovely, trusty, rusty, creaky, aged but still ticking digital camera seems to be lost. It might turn up. Things do, but like Emmeline, it has not been seen/ for more than a week.
So, on the off chance that it is both gone forever and that I can wangle a really early birthday present, I’d like to ask you: what camera do you use? Do you love it? What do you covet?
A blog without photos is like chocolate chip cookies without chocolate chips. So it’s just like cookies. Really plain cookies. Cookies that are almost crackers they’re so plain.
And how’m'I supposed to show you how lovely Helena looks in her new haircut “just like Daniel’s,” as she told the woman with the scissors?

We have a Sony but I want the uber Canon … *drools* Someday!
I have a minolta dimage that I got a year ago. I have been really happy with this camera–it has a lot of room for me to grow, the ability for manual controls, but the point and shoot features are pretty good too.
I have a Fuji Finepix A360, 4.1 megapixels, does video, it’s a nice camera, probably obsolete now, but I feel that way myself sometimes, so we’re a comfortable match. I don’t think the camera matter much as long as it’s decent as far as picture quality, it’s what you shoot that’s important, the camera’s just a tool. I have friends with cameras more complicated than my car, but I don’t think their pictures are all that much better than mine.
I would like a really nice camera too, so I’ll be watching this discussion. I’ve gone through several of the under $200 Kodak Easy Shares, and while I occasionally get really interesting shots, I would like more control and speed.
Ooh Stunts, I could talk about cameraas all day.
Email me and tell me your budget, and I’ll make my wannabe professional suggestion to you.
Canon S40. We bought one years ago (new) for oodles of money. Julian dropped it. It worked for a while and then stopped working. So I went on eBay and bought a used one for significantly less money. I like it a lot and recommend it (you can take 30 second videos with it and, frankly, I love it as much as our very expensive and swank 35 mm with all its lenses)
i wish i could offer
advice on this subject
but unfortunately,
my camera sucks.
i want a new one.
and heehee about the haircut…
too cute
even without a photo
Oh I know so little about cameras, it’s barely worth replying. We’ve got a Canon ixus 430 – which can do clever things when Paul uses it. And it takes pictures (and even mini-videos) consistently when I use it – which is all I really care about…
But if the battery is getting low, it takes ages until the flash goes by which time Ellie has run off! (are they all like that?)
I have a Fugifinepix S602Zooooooom, I love it and take it everywhere but I fantasise about having a really small, really good camers, like a spy would have, or one hidden in my hat, or button then I could take pictures of interesting people without feeling embarrased or like a stalker! I am getting better at it though…almost brazen!
