Not blogging today, boy.

Yup. Here I am. Not blogging. No indeedy. No blogging for me, baby. I’m done. Washed up. Finished. Kaput. Khallas. Finis. Nothing like a bit of non-blogging. Computer free.

If I were blogging, though, I might talk about how blogging every day for a month has been inspiring as well as tiring, about how having to write made strange and wonderful things come when I would rather have been nursing a large whiskey and sulking. I might blog about finding other bloggers of wonder and them finding me. I might talk about not making it through NaNoWriMo and how I’m okay with that because I have over 20000 words that I didn’t have before and how I’m much better producing 500-1000 words a day five days a week. I might blog about how grateful I am for the writing practice these two events demanded of me. I might blog about the insights these tasks gave me into the writing life, and how much I love it.

I might also blog of course about watching Eddie Izzard do his stand up in French (a special feature on the Dressed to Kill DVD) and how much I love watching that because it gives me the strong illusion that I can speak French (and I also get to think about how fanciable Eddie Izzard is. Yum.)

I might blog about what my son wrote about his grandfather for his school’s Special Person’s Day:

My grandfather likes to collect debris which is good for the planet. I appreciate that because I’m a good for the planet kind of guy.

I might blog about my new threadless t-shirt and how much I love it.

I might blog about Advent and how we will never have a chocolate advent calender. I am, however, mightily impressed by this and still considering whipping something up tonight over Chinese food and Buffy. I love Advent.

I might blog about Daniel starting ballet, Ed interviewing all over the place, about driving ninety miles a day, about Helena falling in love with Charlie and Lola. But not today, because I’m not blogging today.

I might blog about how thirty days creates a habit and how some habits are hard to break. But today, I’m not bloggging. Not me.

    Mmmmmm…Eddie Izzard is delicious.

I love Advent and always think I’ll make one of those stocking garlands with lots of embroidery and hand stiching… I’ve been thinking it for 15 years.

I’m so glad I signed up for NaBlo, because I found your blog.

Not reading your non-post except for the part about Eddie Izzard and maybe the part about Daniel being a good for the planet kind of guy, but that’s all – oh and maybe the part, too, about the discipline of writing every day but that’s all.

I (heart) threadless, too. Which shirt did you get?

Thank goodness you’re not blogging today as I really mustn’t waste any time reading & commenting on people’s blogs, I have things to do.

We’re having Charlie and Lola obsession too, they are such beautiful books that I don’t mind how often I read them. If anyone (aka grandparents or aunties) asks me what the 3YO wants for Christmas it will be all the books we haven’t acquired so far in that series.
Clearly your son is a good-for-the-planet kind of guy, he made someone smile right over the other side of the world.

    Right. Nothing to see here.

You know, Stunt Mom, that “not blogging” could be contagious. I’ve been wondering how your DH’s job search was going. Maybe you’d like to “not blog” about that one day.
