Excitement.
Ed has accepted the job. We will be moving come the summer. It is all a little unreal. He deserves huge and champagny congratulations for snagging such a good job and my but they all seem very pleased to have him. He’s had about twenty emails from the department all saying variations on YAY! except in academic language. So he’s excited and the university is very excited.
Ed’s teachers are excited. An employed graduate student! Hooray!
The children are excited. For some reason they think they can have a dog once they move. Hmmm.
I… I… I am currently considering how to get out of cleaning out the basement before moving. And I’m stuck on level 32 of Weffriddles. And while I am providing the link, only click through if you are immune to puzzles or be prepared to kiss your evening goodbye. Oh yeah baby. Nothing says avoidance like computer games.

I will not click. I will not click. I will not click.
DARN YOU AND YOUR COMPUTER GAME CLICKITY MCCLICK.
Congratulations!!
Appropos (sp?) of absolutely nothing, I thought you’d find my college friend’s blog interesting: amesandmac on blogspot. I’ve forgotten how to link. Will write more later and MISS YOU!!! Sorry I abandoned my blog, but I have not abandoned you!
OOOOO Tempting.
Congrats to Ed! (Postponed-but-inevitable sadness for me.)
I clicked, but I couldn’t get to any game. Is that a sign that I’m not ready to play?
Congratulations to Ed! When is the big move?
Mr S and I wasted a large part of last week Weffriddling. Once we got somewhere in the 30s, we simply chose to stop. We got it.
Kudos to Ed and the whole Stunt Family!! Please do clean out the basement OTW you’re going to pay someone good money to move the crap you didn’t need in the first place. In fact, do it now, get the tax deduction for 2006 and make some charity happy. And, quit Weffriddling, you slacker. You could play Fowl Words instead!
You could pretend you are one of those super-organized people and do a little bit of basement clearing every month between now and then. Or, more likely, beg several of your friends to come help sometime in mid-June. I am personally ruthless when it comes to throwing away other people’s stuff.
Congrats to Ed, and courage.
May I say, in my least academic way, Hot damn! and congratulations! and we moved 6 months ago and we’re still cleaning out the basement at the old house. Basements are evil.
CONGRATS! That is so wonderful!!!! Coming from another wife of a hopefully future employed academic, I totally get it!
That’s wonderful news! And I noticed you titled your post “excitement.” Also, good news.
