My cousin and friend, the wonderful Ellen of Excellent Walker, has a great, cozy, cleverly designed small apartment, the sort of apartment that when you walk into it, you immediately unwind. The sort of apartment that constantly surprises you with how big it feels, despite how small it is. And I’m not the only one who thinks so; despite a last minute entry, she’s up for Apartment Therapy’s “Smallest Coolest Apartment” award. Which is deeply deeply cool.
There are, to be sure, lots of small, cool apartments in the contest, but how can you pass up a chance to vote for an apartment with a handmade Murphy Bed? Go here and vote for her, or rather, for her great apartment.

Very cool! My first apartment in Philly had a Murphy kitchen table complete with pull down benches. Awesome!
Maybe The Wonderful Ellen can come to your new abode and help you set things up to be cozy and welcoming, just like her flat.
That is one cool apartment, but I think voting is over. Here I was, complaining about 700 sq feet (to be fair, housing two adults and a small child). I totally love the use of space here and am amazed at the lack of clutter!
