We are always leaving wonderful friends behind and moving on to make new ones. I just had a holiday with one of my old, gold friends and what an enormous treat it was to spend time with someone who's known me since I was a kid and who is completely loving and accepting. But the flash of silver, as you put it, is so exciting too, when you spot someone and think, "I just know I'm going to be friends with you." I love that. I relate to this so much.
